Hi, Marcia here with a quick update.

Unfortunately, the Olsons are not quite ready to do any celebrating.  There is a certain amount of relief that came with Gary having his LAST chemo treatment last Wednesday, but he feels really, really, really crummy and is not able to eat very much of anything without feeling really, really, really bad.

Although we remain hopeful that all of this is just leftover side effects from the chemo, there is that ever present worry that eating will continue to be difficult for him, he will continue to feel icky, and he will continue to have to be dependent on some sort of supplemental feeding for some unknown amount of time to come.

Please send him (and Anne) your thoughts, prayers, and words of encouragement.

Doggone!! And we were SO hoping each day would get better, not stay the same! All the positive energy we can muster up is being sent your way. There must be a food out there that will start you down the trek of proper digestion….followed by another food, then another and another! Our thoughts are with you, along with a whole bunch of hopes!

Gary my heart is aching. Consider this a hugeeeeeeeeeeee hug from your east coast virtual buddies.

My healing dance continues and hope today is better and tomorrow better still and on and on. Good luck and we’re in your corner BIG TIME!

    LOVE, Louise and Don

    Hi Gary,
I’m sorry you’re feeling so crummy. I would think that there’s an overwhelming chance that it’s the side effects of the chemo that’s making you feel so bad. I hope this phase passes quickly.

    Hugo
